And Rocco Is Back -- Rocco comes out and hugs Tyrone and tells him he can do it, and that whatever Dr. Oz tells tyrone to do, Rocco is going to do it with him. Rocco has lost a total of 40 pounds since his first time on Dr. oz, and says he will do the 28 Day Raw Food Challenge again with Tyrone to lose more weight. Rooco says he is living proof you can do the 28 Day Plan.

On the stage there was a table full of food with Dr. Oz at one end, Rocco The meat Loving Cowboy at the other end, and Tyrone in the middle. Dr. Oz starts the 4 steps to help Tyrone to tackle his own weight.

Week one of this 28 day challenge is Detox week, replace the cakes, sugars to raw fruits and vegetables. White pasta to whole wheat pasta, and have less meat and eat chicken instead of red meat because it has less saturated fats in it. Rocco explained that he ate his biggest meal in the morning so it had time to burn off, and for Tyrone to flip his schedule around when it came to eating, and don't eat anything after 7:00 P.M.

Dr. Oz explains that eating raw foods, and keeping the temperature under 116 degrees, the enzymes in the foods stay alive. It helps with digestion, absorption of the correct nutrients, and help detox you faster.

Week 2 of Tyrone's 28 Day Challenge is to juice it up, having smoothies -- a strawberry banana smoothie, and a spinach smoothie, and Rocco loves green!

Week 3 Dr. Oz Go "Nuts For Nuts" -- Getting the nuts and seeds in that are the staple of your diet. Dr. Oz even had a an almond shake on the table, shredded zucchini and summer squash. He gave Tyrone his very own Rocco lunch can to put all his seeds, nuts and carrots to take with him everyday for on the bus snacks. Rocco says to pack up his snacks and have them with him at all times to quench his appetite for two hours. He went on to explain to do this every two hours to get through it.

Week 4 Get rid of the pasta. Dr.Oz says no more pasta, because it has to many simple carbohydrates in it, and that turns into candy in your body. Rocco says the most important thing about week 4 is to eat nothing larger than the palm of your hand at any one time. Eating six to 8 times a day, palm size servings instead of 3 large meals and you will lose weight just with that.

Dr. oz stated that after this "4 Week Detox Plan" of a raw diet, to pick and choose the things that work for you at the end of the fourth week and stick with them for the rest of your life.

As with Rocco's 28 day challenge Week 1 is your transition period, you’ll detox off red meat, eliminate sugars and white flours and start eating your vegetables raw. Instead of white pastas, eat whole wheat, substitute grilled chicken for red meat, swap out sugary desserts for fruits and replace cooked vegetables with raw ones.
On a Raw Food Diet, you should only be consuming unprocessed, preferably organic whole foods.
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Nuts
  • Seeds
  • Beans

  • Legumes
  • Dried fruit
  • Seaweed

Week 2 Of The 28 Day Vegan Challenge

You need to eliminate meat, poultry, eggs and dairy. To compensate, add lots of vegetables and fruit smoothies to supplement nutrients. Try interesting combinations of fruits and vegetables like a banana spinach smoothie – high in potassium, folate, vitamins K and A, and magnesium.

During the third week of your detox, add nuts and seeds as a staple of your diet. You can substitute some dairy items with those derived from nuts, like raw almond milk. When snacking on nuts, soak them in water first to wake up their natural enzymes. (soak walnuts for approximately half an hour). Dr. oz says an excellent lunch on the go is a raw veggie burger made with almonds and walnuts.

During week 1 you substituted white pasta with whole grain pasta, Dr. oz tells us you’re now to cut out pasta altogether because it’s cooked. Try a meal consisting of shredded zucchini with veggie meatballs and raw tomato sauce. This may be the most challenging week because you will be eating 100% raw.

At the end of the week, evaluate what you liked best and work that into your regular diet. Make sure to always substitute whole grain pasta for white pasta!
