Dr. Roizen And Dr. Oz Says Get Rid Of 5 Foods In Your House


Dr. Oz says it takes your brain two weeks to form new habits, so you need a 2 week plan to reboot your body.

1. Get rid of the sugars and syrups -- Sugars and syrups spike your blood with sugar, replace the jams and jellies with whole fruit eg. on your bread or toast. Whole fruit does not spike your blood sugars as much.

2. Eliminate Soda -- If you eliminate at least one soda a day it will equal a 12 lb weight loss in a year.

3. Get rid of white flours -- White flours have all the nutrients taken out of them. Replace white flours with 100% whole grains-100% whole wheat. You can buy 100 % whole wheat pizza crust and top with your favourite veggies.

4. Get rid of the Saturated Fats -- Saturated Fats consist of fats from 4 legged animals and are solid at room temperature -- Replace saturated fats with Chicken and salmon.

5. Get Rid Of Trans Fats -- Always read the top 5 ingredients on packaging. A long shelf life means a short life for you! Replace snacks with rice cakes.

The Complete Two Week Plan
Day 1:
Dump The Fridge -- Clean out your fridge, and get rid of the 5 foods that make you fat. They are simple sugars, syrups, white foods-white flours, saturated fats, and trans fats and replace those foods. Go shopping for new workout shoes, and a pedometer to start your 10,000 steps a day.

Day 2:
Start by cutting out 100 Calories A Day!

Day 3:

Learn how to cheat your taste buds -- Dr. Oz says have spices for breakfast, yup that's right, he said red peppers were a good example, and you will actually less food at lunch. Eat breakfast's that are more typical of lunch or dinner. One thing Dr. Oz does a lot is the lip lick -- Lick your lips and then take in a deep breath, then exhale and then do it again, he says then your not hungry anymore. Well I don't know about that!

Day 6:
Talk to your doctor about any issues of thyroid, hormonal, cholesterol levels that could be making you obese.

Day 7:
Go public -- Tell everyone you are on a diet and be healthy for life. You become vulnerable to everyone else and become accountable.

Day 8:
Measure your waist size and your weight and repeat steps 1 through 7.

Bonnie's Story


Bonnie had been overweight all her life, in elementary school they called her Big Bonnie Balloon Butt. She was so overweight they put her in a special education class for heavy kids. Bonnie built a successful career as an illustrator, and the weight kept piling on. Her heaviest weight was 265 pounds.

After seeing her doctor and being told she would be put on medications for the rest of her life, she got her wake-up call, lost the weight over two years and never looked back.

Her waist size went from 50" to 29 inches

How Did Bonnie Lose The Weight

Bonnie joined Dr. Oz today as assistant of the day. The first interesting thing Dr. Oz said was he can tell if someone is stressed, and it is by their belly size. He talked about the difference between soft belly fat and hard belly fat. Breakfast Blaster Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 large ripe banana, broken into chunks (or other fruit of your choice)
1 scoop (1/3 cup) Soy Protein (like Nature’s Plus Spiru-Tein)
1/2 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 tablespoon apple juice concentrate or honey
1 teaspoon psyllium seed husks
8 ounces water

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Optional: Add a few cubes of ice, as well as powdered vitamins. Cover; blend until fairly smooth.
Makes 2 servings | 136 calories per serving.
